an artist’s book is a medium of artistic expression that uses the form or function of 'book' as inspiration. it is the artistic initiative seen in the illustration, choice of materials, creation process, layout and design that makes it an art object.

artists' books
the v&a holds a large and varied collection of artists' books, some of which were on display during mine and laura's visit there. i was particularly interested in the fact that many of the books we saw utilised mapping - a key interest in my own work.
