the museum is home to a vast collection of cultural objects from around the globe, including more than 20,000 manuscripts, rare books, miniature paintings, clay tablets, costumes and other objects of artistic, historical and aesthetic importance.
the chester beattie was a must see on a 2016 trip to Dublin and remains my favourite museum visit. i love illuminated manuscripts and their collection of these medieval publications from across the globe was really special to see in person.
